# I Need Barcode

> I Need Barcode (https://ineedbarcode.com/) is a free barcode and QR Code generator that runs in the browser. It needs no registration, adds no watermark, supports 100+ barcode formats, and exports print-ready PNG files. The site is available in 98 languages and was created by Abid Hanan Wicaksono.

## What it does

- Generates QR Code, Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A, Data Matrix, Aztec, PDF417, GS1 and 100+ other formats.
- Creates codes for text, URLs, Wi-Fi, contacts, email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, locations and events.
- Bulk mode generates up to 100 barcodes at once and downloads them as a ZIP of PNG files.
- Design options: colors, module size, rotation, shapes (circle, heart, star and more), dot styles, frames with text, transparent background.
- Barcode contents are processed in the visitor's browser and are not sent to a server.

- Is I Need Barcode free? Yes. You can create and download as many barcodes as you like, with no sign-up and no watermark.
- Which barcode type should I choose? Use QR Code for links, Wi-Fi, and contacts. Use EAN-13 or UPC-A for retail products, Code 128 for shipping and inventory, and Data Matrix for small labels.
- Can I use the barcodes commercially? Yes. The images you create are yours to use on products, packaging, and print. For EAN and UPC on retail products, register your numbers with GS1.
- Why does my barcode show an error? Each type has its own rules. For example, EAN-13 accepts only 12 or 13 digits. Read the error message and adjust your data.
